El Nino conditions exist globally even though NOAA and many other firms do not agree with this. The warm US winter, drought easing rains in northern Brazil and some dryness beginning to affected African cocoa are also indicators of some El Nino conditions.

Other than ocean temperatures and the SOI index, which most weather forecast firms use to forecast El Nino (or not), ​I believe that positive GlobalAngular Momentum (Glaam) is present. Below you can see how I forecasted global weather a month ago based on.

Glaam has to do with torque in the atmosphere and how oceans interact with the jetstream.
